![]() Lately, I’ve read so many articles about audio. I have to process audio again, render again – so people who might listen #WINDOWS TOP LEFT AUDIO BAR NOT PRESENT SOFTWARE#Reinforcing, I can get stereo sound recorded if I want, is just an option to record in mono or stereo in recording software (actually I use Audacity for that), since my mics are or stereo or "stereo alike" (mono with builtin stereo connector) I mean it takes more processing writing to disk, I already tested recordings in stereo takes almost twice the size on disk, so it will be more resource consuming at all. The sound system is creating a Wave audio file, the same amount of processing power is required for a one channel file as a two channel file. I doubt that the difference between one channel and two channels is significant. #WINDOWS TOP LEFT AUDIO BAR NOT PRESENT DRIVER#The sound chip driver is software, but it makes no difference if the software is handling one channel or two channels, Modern sound systems in today's computers are often 6 to 8 channels. The sound system in computers is a electronic chip. I do not agree that mono sound takes less processing, the same processing takes place in your computer sound system whether you have one channel or two channels active. Now if you have a stereo microphone, then you should already have stereo sound on your Microphone. No extra editing in WaveEditor, you have stereo sound. No extra power is used, you simply have the same sound on both channels. The above adapter is a mono input and TRS stereo output. ![]() This is one example of the device I refer to:ĭue to the fact your computers audio system is stereo anyway, converting a Mono microphone output to stereo is simply connecting the mono jack to both the right and left channel of the microphone input. recording stereo narration voice is just waste of processing resources and disk space, and, in fact when I recording gameplays in my computer, the game itself and screen recording program are too heavy resource consumers, so recording in mono can save processing, disk writting, etc. Quote: Carl312: Of course, but I can record stereo with my actual microphone, but I do not because it not make any sense, since I just recording Voice. ![]() Thank´s guys for replies, until this is not resolved I will converting tracks to stereo. ![]() I know that "is just" convert to stereo tracks, but until I know, any Mono sound should play on both channels by default, if someone want to play something in just one channel they can pan on channel or make a stereo track with just channel they want.įor me, this seems to be a bug introduced in Versoin 12 that was not present in version 11. ![]() However I tried this today, and I need in fact to modify something in track so it will be back with both channels.Ĭarl312: Of course, but I can record stereo with my actual microphone, but I do not because it not make any sense, since I just recording Voice. Dafydd : In fact I converted, in fact I used other software to this, because After I Open in wave editor the track was correct (showing left and right channels) so I closed without saving and nothing changed in PD12. ![]()
