He hopes this round-up will help curb the rising number of theft cases his department has seen over the last several months. Sheriff Oliver also points to other crimes that help support the drug trade. Drugs seem to be on every corner and every aspect of everybody’s life. “Knowing the way drugs are, that’s not surprising. ![]() Sheriff Oliver says that 203 arrest warrants were issued for both mid and street level drug dealers in his county. He is even surprised at the number of cases that were made during “Operation Spring Cleaning”. “There’s not any that I’ve seen with this amount of people” says Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver. Police say the agents work paid-off with a record number of arrests being made. With warrants in hand, law enforcement officers from across North-West Alabama have spent two days taking accused dealers off the streets.
